San Ysidro Ranch is where this Felici Events Real Southern California Wedding took place for this happy couple. Different Backgrounds and wedding traditions were incorporated into the wedding ceremony.

Santa Barbara Estate Location - Villa Sevillano

One of the things I do as part of my work, is blog about different locations in Santa Barbara County to host your gathering, event, party or wedding.  You can see my work on the Santa Barbara Wedding Guide, a useful resource for brides and grooms worldwide. Today, I received an email about one of my favourite location posts, Villa Sevillano.  If you are looking to get married in the fall, they have some openings for events.  Here is more about the Villa Sevillano as posted on Santa Barbara Wedding Guide.

Villa Sevillano

By Zohe Felici, Felici Events

Villa Sevillano Villa Sevillano is a classic Mediterranean estate which sits amidst 22 acres of well manicured grounds, a private equestrian facility and exercise field.  Located in Carpinteria, the estate’s expansive property and panoramic Pacific views are enough to make you want to stay for a while.  It is, however, the property’s 14 person sleeping capacity and dynamic event hosting possibilities which make it ideal for a wedding weekend rental.

As you enter the long lush driveway and orchard, you are greeted by a front garden patio with palms centering a picturesque koi pond and fountain.  Once inside, the expansive ocean view living, dining and breakfast rooms feature exquisite Italian touches. The well laid out estate allows for easy hosting with its open kitchen and doorway leading outdoors to the infinity pool and jacuzzi. The second-floor holds three bedrooms with en suite baths and the master suite, all overlooking the exercise field and ocean.

The lowest level of the home, accessible by elevator, is centered by an enormous recreation room. One end is grounded by a custom bar, pool table and seating area all overlooking the equestrian grounds.  Adjacent to the bar is a nine-seat carpeted theater media room, fully wired with in-wall audio.  As you make your way down the hall, you find an elegant dark-wood wine room ideal for the wine enthusiast. This gorgeous estate is ideal for a weekend of events.  The on site polo field easily holds up to 300 guests for a seated dinner.  The olive and citrus orchards, formal gardens, and infinity edge pool all make for beautiful settings to hold receptions, cocktail hour and ceremonies.

This enchanting place is spread out……in fact, it may take you all weekend to make your way around!

This is a Ceremony and Reception or Reception Only Venue with overnight accommodations available for additional rental.

Engagement Spotlight- Jolene and Tim

Best friends Tim and Jolene first met nearly twenty years ago. However, it was fourteen years before the two would connect through a mutual appetite for good fiction. With the help of Tim's "match-making" family and media messaging their relationship deepened, and soon Tim was smitten. The problem was that Jolene was clueless to the the affection growing in Tim as he patiently hovered in friend status.

Thankfully, his patience was rewarded when Jolene discovered the love growing in her own heart. Five months later, Tim gave Jolene a birthday surprise she would never forget. Slipping onto one knee after dinner, he asked her to become his wife and share the rest of forever together.

This July they will begin their journey in a beach ceremony at Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort with the help of Felici Events.

Felici Events Two Year Anniversary Thanks to You

Unique Guest Sign In Idea that Keeps on Giving

It is unbelievable that two years have passed since the Felici Events' inception in May 2010!

"I may not have all of the answers, but I surround myself with people who do" which is what lead us to create this guest sign in for the launch.

I loved getting guests' words of wisdom and it proved to be a great way to remember everyone who came and supported me.

This creative and simple alternate to a guest book can be incorporated into any event.

Just add personalization and creativity.

Thanks to everyone who has continued to support me and I look forward to continue growing.

Engagement Spotlight- Megan and Luc

Megan and Luc, Santa Barbara locals and UCSB alumni, actually met in LA a few years back through Herbalife. After struggling for a year in the friend zone (and many karaoke duets later), Luc pulled the romantic curtains over Megan's eyes with the help of beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho, where he grew up. The hot springs under the stars maneuver has proven successful for many young male Sun Valleyites. As fate would have it, Sun Valley became the same setting for Luc's proposal.

Together, Megan and Luc now run Active Nutrition Center in Santa Barbara. The trick to gracefully mixing business with pleasure is no doubt their ability to HAVE FUN!

The two will be tying the knot this September at Coghlan Winery with the help of Felici Events in a casual California country-themed affair that is sure to be a blast!

Lime Green and Purple Decor - Another Felici Event

How to Create a Theme with Colors

An elegant and fun way to create themes can be done thru color schemes and shapes.

A great example is this REAL FELICI WEDDING for Jennifer and Stephen who used purple and green spheres as their inspiration. To convey the theme to guests right off the bat, their invitations by  Lazaro Press included the lavender and pale green puffs.

On their reception night at The Canary Hotel, Nico Designs adorned each table with a centerpiece featuring giant green and purple chrysanthemums orbs resting on beds of rock.

Lighting is a dramatic way to convey a color scheme that immediately changes the mood of a room. Bella Vista Designs lit up the evening celebration with lavender lights around the room.

A wedding cake is the culmination and epitome of any wedding’s theme. Instead of creating a polka dotted cake, Montecito Confections used green chrysanthemums trailing up the side of the cake and onto the top adorned with cymbidium orchids.

A huge Thank You to the wonderful Melissa Musgrove for capturing these wonderful images and work of art.

Old Country meets Wine Country

Cultural traditions and locations both play roles in branding and making a wedding memorable and unique. This Felici Events wine country wedding incorporates elements of the bride's Norwegian background while maintaining a country western theme.

Arithmetic to Wedded Bliss - 1,001 Paper Cranes Japanese Wedding Ceremony Tradition

Based on Japanese tradition, cranes are noted as mystical creatures.Cranes represent longevity and good health, and are believed to live for 1001  years. The tradition to fold 1001 paper cranes has become a staple wedding gift for many years in Japanese culture.

Folding 1001 paper cranes is believed to make a person’s wish come true; when a folder bestows the cranes on a couple it symbolizes their wish for the couple to have a long and happy marriage.

Last week's wedding,  the bride’s mother folded these gorgeous paper cranes. This custom, however, is not limited to just family' anyone can give such a unique and truly beautiful wedding gift.
